Swearing and using profanity have become the norm in our world. We hear it everywhere; it's in our schools, restaurants, and work places. Sadly, these are normal everyday words. Profanity can cause heartache and it just shows that one does not have the education to select better words. Cussing is used to show strong emotion, hatred towards someone, or it can even be used as a joking matter, but whatever the word may be it's not for someone's benefit.
People cuss because they want to feel important around their friends. They feel if they cuss they will be "accepted" into society. For example, a person when cuss when they're driving and someone cuts them off in the road. These words rub off on other people and before you know it the whole class is saying it, and then the school, and so on.
All that teenagers want is to be "normal" or to fit in. They don't want to be looked at as the outcasts. These people feel that cussing will help them in the high school or any other background. There are other reasons people cuss. The sensation of pain causes one to exclaim in pain and that usually leads to using a cuss word. People use these words to show strong emotions towards someone. They throw words at them like there's no tomorrow. In reality, it just shows a lack of good judgement.
You can't take back what you say. Once it rolls off your tongue it's out there. There are cuss words that are so offensive towards people such as racial slurs. Saying a cuss word after every other word is just bad taste. The person your talking to will most likely just be listening to all the profane words and or even catch the whole idea of your statement. Using this language will become a habit and if you are in a job interview your future boss doesn't want to hear profanity coming out of your mouth. Overall these words are not beneficial to anyone in the long run.
